Faux perceptions

As the old saying goes, “The grass is always greener on the other side.” The truth is..it is greener, considering how this color is often associated with envy. You see at times we often compare ourselves to others in an attempt to reason with the idea of being undesirable. In reality, we just get too comfortable and never seem to think that we can dehydrate ourselves from self-love. You rest your expectations on demanding attention and love from others. And that is when your “grass” runs dry. Because without their love for lack of water, you will wilt, you will dry up, and you will grow weak and all because you didn’t take it upon yourself to quench yourself with enough dignity and respect to water your own grass. And so why does it always seem to be greener on the other side? Well it depends on your perception of what one needs and can do without to survive.
